Africa in Colors since 2021 has been creating experiences and working to bring people, institutions, pioneers of the cultural and creative industries, together, to rethink the culture and creative industries in Africa, how people collaborate, innovative solutions to grow local creatives, and advocate for public and private partnerships to push African governments to reconsider the creative economies, whin their countries but also across the continent as an important pillar for social development, and contributor to Africa’s GDPs.
2025, following past experiences, and collaborations, we embarked on an East African collaboration approach, taking us to a strategic partnership with the Africa creative alliance to produce the Africa Creative Economy Lens forum, bringing leaders of industries, financial institutions, creatives, entrepreneurs, investors, private sector, and the public sector, for two primarily objectives, mobilize funding for the creative industries (public or private), and a collective conversation leading to rethinking the future of access to finance for African creatives, entrepreneurs, and artists.
