ABOUT AFRICA IN COLORS
Africa is a PanAfrican initiative, headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda, and positioning itself as a catalyzer to rethink the culture and creative industry ecosystem able to create jobs and revenues.
Today, Africa in Colors is a global network of 37 countries across the globe, 27 being on the African continent and 10 being outside the continent.
Africa in Colors is an initiative working under three main axes, which are, education, collaboration and access to finance.
ABOUT THE TRAINING, MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
Africa in Colors, in collaboration with a Tunisian based technology institute, 3D Netinfo, and in partnership with an American company, Unanimous Games, French company LAFAAC, various studios, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, are putting together a training program to help young people learn about technologies around 3D, and entrepreneurship in the culture and creative industry, which would allow them, for example, developing contents, video games, toys and more. This training will be for 3 months, and would enable 20 Rwandans aged between 18 and 25 years, with no previous experience nor complex requirements to be part of this training, and be able to learn skills and knowledge that could help them create one or more jobs and build an important economic value, directly and/or on the value chain.
ABOUT OUR PARTNERS AND PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BANK OF KIGALI
3D Netinfo:
3D Netinfo is a Tunisian school of art and technology, founded since 1999, specialized in trainings in skills around creative coding, image production for animation, video gaming, virtual reality and more.
Unanimous Games:
Unanimous Games is an American company born under RocNation, to promote video gaming education and development, entertainment and media promotion and production, Esport and OTT platforms. It is today housing several known artists, partners and clients on global markets.
LAFAAC:
LAFAAAC is a French company, positioning as a digital learning platform that trains you for jobs in the creative industries. They combine the best expertise in Europe and Africa with an innovative pedagogical approach, A playful, accessible and professional training that allows young people to increase their skills, achieve their ambitions, and let their creativity express itself freely.
Bank of Kigali:
Bank of Kigali Plc. is the largest commercial bank in Rwanda, by total assets. In 2017, Global Credit Ratings affirmed Bank of Kigali’s long-term and short-term national scale ratings of AA-(RW) and A1+(RW) respectively with a stable outlook.
The Bank has won several back-to-back international and regional banking awards from Euromoney, The Banker, Global Finance Magazine, and EMEA Finance. Bank of Kigali has been recently awarded “Best Bank in Rwanda” in the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2021.
Bank of Kigali will be accompanying Africa in Colors during this upcoming training, which will allow young people acquire knowledge around innovation, financial literacy, saving and investment.
ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS
The training will be accessible to 20 selected participants, aged between 18 and 25 years.
These participants will be selected through a call of candidates and they will be going through a 3 months training, with world class teachers, entrepreneurs, experts and artists from Rwanda and the rest of the world.
CONCLUSION
This training is a second of its series of trainings organized by Africa in Colors.
The purpose of these trainings is to be able to have a pool of talents able to create jobs and revenues for Rwandans and the country as a whole, while positioning Rwanda as a hub for skills and creativity.
